The contemporary art gallery Doppelgaenger is pleased to announce its collaboration with the 19th edition of the chamber music festival Ritratti, with the intervention of the artist Sarah Jérôme, at the spaces of the Casa Santa (via Comes 9, Monopoli), from July 7 until August 6, 2023.
Born and based in France, Sarah Jérôme came to painting and sculpture after thirteen years spent in the world of dance, a discipline whose philosophy she still partly cultivates. One cannot help but consider the importance that the human body - particularly the female body - acquires within Sarah Jérôme's oil drawings and sculptures: a body that emerges from shapeless magma-like matter or from processes of combustion and mineral transformation.
